Myrtle and her 4 cute and adorable kiddos – MPH Photography – Toronto

Thursday, March 22nd, 2012

I met Myrtle when I was just a teen at the church we were attending back in the day and back then she was the cutest and nicest and sweetest little girl and now she’s still cute and still so nice and sweet and  she has 4 of the cutest and best behaved kids we’ve ever met. I was so excited when she emailed me that she wanted to book a session and I couldn’t say yes quick enough.

We set it up and the only thing that could have been better was the weather, as it was a bit cold and foggy and windy and grey out. Despite the weather, we went ahead and met at a favourite spot of theirs in Pickering and the kids didn’t let the weather faze them at all. They just cared about having fun and going to the beach and checking out the ducks and hopefully getting to ride on the swings for a bit. We did all that and then some and they continued to smile and have a great time during the whole session, even with their little red noses and teary eyes near the end, they still wanted to play some more. I could have taken them all home with me.

You can definitely tell that her kids love her and the bond that they have is strong and so endearing and it was just so much fun to capture them spending time together. I love capturing cherished moments and spontaneous smiles and loving affection between families and I love thinking that these images will be hanging on their walls for years to come, pieces of art that they can enjoy for a lifetime. To think that when they look at these precious images over the years, they will not only smile but remember that day as being special and remembering the feelings they shared and the memories they created as well. To give that to a family is a wonderful feeling and makes me love my job even more.

It was an honour and a pleasure seeing Myrtle again after so many years and photographing her and her kids and I would like to thank them for being so wonderful and cute and sweet and I really hope they all love the sneak peek below.

God bless you and your family Myrtle!!

Louise’s family – MPH Photography – Toronto

Tuesday, November 29th, 2011

I love my job!! I’m sure I have mentioned that many times before but I absolutely love it and I love it even more when return clients who have become friends come back for their annual Christmas portrait session.

Louise and her family, are definitely one of my favourite families to photograph, this is the 4th time I have had the pleasure of photographing them and each time gets better and better. They picked out a great location and the weather was definitely on our side as its almost December and its still not that cold out. We really had a great time, and I just couldn’t stop taking pictures of this bunch, they are so cute and so sweet and adorable and I could have easily spent the whole day with them.

I remember photographing Louise when she was pregnant with her youngest and to see this little one grow along with her 2 sisters is something I treasure and its an honour to be the one to capture them as they grow.

This was my last session of this year, and its been an amazingly wonderful year, I feel so blessed and even though it was a crazy busy year, I loved every minute of it. Next year may be a bit slower, with baby coming in April/May so I will not be booking as many sessions as I did this year, so if you are considering doing a session now is the time to book as space is limited and once they are booked I will not have any other openings available.

I was so happy to end this year with this family, I had a smile the whole time and although I felt a bit sad at the end, I was also extremely happy and looking forward to the future and where my photography business is going.

Louise, as usual it was fabulous seeing you all again, and hope you enjoyed your session and all the fun we had, and I hope you like your sneak peek. It was so hard for me to choose my favourites as there were just so many shots that I loved from this session.

Many thanks to all my wonderful and amazing clients, I can’t thank you enough, and I look forward to photographing you all again in the future, but as 2011 is coming to an end, I want to take this opportunity to wish you all a very joyful and wonderful holiday season and all the best in the new year. God bless!

Beth & Brian & Bridget & Brooke – MPH Photography – Toronto

Tuesday, October 18th, 2011

I have had the pleasure of photographing this family several times throughout the years and its so wonderful to watch these two girls grow in front of my eyes.  I not only consider the Ward family clients but friends as well, and was very sad last year when they told me they were moving back to New Jersey, and I thought I would probably never see them again.

Glad to say I was wrong, because Beth contacted me a few months after they moved and told me they were coming back to Toronto for a few days and if she could book another session with me! I was thrilled and so excited and then when the day got here,  the weather was perfect and the location was awesome, and it turned out to be such a wonderful day.

We met at Hart House and after exchanging hugs we began and it was non stop fun the rest of the session. I just love this family and am beyond thrilled that they traveled across the border to do a session with me and I look forward to photographing them every year.

Beth and Brian, I want to thank you for your constant support and enthusiasm, and I’m so touched that you keep coming back even though you moved so far away. I really hope you enjoy your sneak peek from our day together, and you know you are welcome back to Toronto, anytime!!!

Lorraine & Carm & Emily & Grace – day at the beach – MPH Photography – Toronto

Wednesday, October 5th, 2011

I’ve know this family for many years now and am so happy that their daughter is in the same grade and same school as our son as their friendship is what brought us together.

Lorraine and Carm, have become really good friends over the years and so this session was special and I wanted to make sure every shot was wonderful, I actually put a bit more pressure on myself than usual as I really wanted to do a great job, I always do.

We tried a couple of times to set a date, but with the weather the way it was, we needed to postpone a couple of times. Finally on this day, it was beautiful, but just a bit windy. I think it turned out to be a really nice day, and the Scatterelli family spend some time at the beach enjoying each other and I was the one fortunate enough to be there to capture their day together. It was alot of fun, and we all had such a nice time, and think we managed to get a few great shots of this precious family.

Lorraine and Carm, I hope you love these, as much as we love you guys. Thanks for being such wonderful friends, and hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

Nikki’s Family – MPH Photography – Toronto

Tuesday, September 27th, 2011

Nikki has been my go to cake lady for a while now. Wether its for a birthday, a shower, an anniversary, she outdoes herself every time and each cake is more spectacular than the last. She is definitely an artist and takes such time and such care with each cake, she’s magical at what she does, and her artistry and passion for making beautiful cakes is simply amazing, and I for one appreciate and just love her work. The detail she puts in every cake is incredible and leaves everyone’s mouths left wide open in amazement. If you want an amazing cake that your family and friends will never forget, then go to Nikki from Krazy Kakes, and I recommend the caramel filling, its one of our faves.

I finally had the chance to photograph Nikki and her family and I knew she was nervous but within minutes I think we showed her and Adam and the girls just how much fun a photo shoot can actually be and definitely nothing to be nervous about. We spent a lovely afternoon at High park and it was the perfect day out, one of the last few days before the cold crisp air gets here. There were beautiful colours everywhere and although I know Nikki loves black and white, I can’t help but show most of these in colour, you’ll see why below.

Nikki and Adam and Cassie and Jessica, thanks for being so much fun, it was a lovely session and I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

I have to add here, that there is a squirrel beside Adam’s head, I could have taken him out of the shot in PS but I thought he was cute. Looking at it again, it almost looks as if the squirrel is taking a little bite out of Adam’s head, lol.
