Myrtle and her 4 cute and adorable kiddos – MPH Photography – Toronto

Thursday, March 22nd, 2012

I met Myrtle when I was just a teen at the church we were attending back in the day and back then she was the cutest and nicest and sweetest little girl and now she’s still cute and still so nice and sweet and  she has 4 of the cutest and best behaved kids we’ve ever met. I was so excited when she emailed me that she wanted to book a session and I couldn’t say yes quick enough.

We set it up and the only thing that could have been better was the weather, as it was a bit cold and foggy and windy and grey out. Despite the weather, we went ahead and met at a favourite spot of theirs in Pickering and the kids didn’t let the weather faze them at all. They just cared about having fun and going to the beach and checking out the ducks and hopefully getting to ride on the swings for a bit. We did all that and then some and they continued to smile and have a great time during the whole session, even with their little red noses and teary eyes near the end, they still wanted to play some more. I could have taken them all home with me.

You can definitely tell that her kids love her and the bond that they have is strong and so endearing and it was just so much fun to capture them spending time together. I love capturing cherished moments and spontaneous smiles and loving affection between families and I love thinking that these images will be hanging on their walls for years to come, pieces of art that they can enjoy for a lifetime. To think that when they look at these precious images over the years, they will not only smile but remember that day as being special and remembering the feelings they shared and the memories they created as well. To give that to a family is a wonderful feeling and makes me love my job even more.

It was an honour and a pleasure seeing Myrtle again after so many years and photographing her and her kids and I would like to thank them for being so wonderful and cute and sweet and I really hope they all love the sneak peek below.

God bless you and your family Myrtle!!

Louise’s family – MPH Photography – Toronto

Tuesday, November 29th, 2011

I love my job!! I’m sure I have mentioned that many times before but I absolutely love it and I love it even more when return clients who have become friends come back for their annual Christmas portrait session.

Louise and her family, are definitely one of my favourite families to photograph, this is the 4th time I have had the pleasure of photographing them and each time gets better and better. They picked out a great location and the weather was definitely on our side as its almost December and its still not that cold out. We really had a great time, and I just couldn’t stop taking pictures of this bunch, they are so cute and so sweet and adorable and I could have easily spent the whole day with them.

I remember photographing Louise when she was pregnant with her youngest and to see this little one grow along with her 2 sisters is something I treasure and its an honour to be the one to capture them as they grow.

This was my last session of this year, and its been an amazingly wonderful year, I feel so blessed and even though it was a crazy busy year, I loved every minute of it. Next year may be a bit slower, with baby coming in April/May so I will not be booking as many sessions as I did this year, so if you are considering doing a session now is the time to book as space is limited and once they are booked I will not have any other openings available.

I was so happy to end this year with this family, I had a smile the whole time and although I felt a bit sad at the end, I was also extremely happy and looking forward to the future and where my photography business is going.

Louise, as usual it was fabulous seeing you all again, and hope you enjoyed your session and all the fun we had, and I hope you like your sneak peek. It was so hard for me to choose my favourites as there were just so many shots that I loved from this session.

Many thanks to all my wonderful and amazing clients, I can’t thank you enough, and I look forward to photographing you all again in the future, but as 2011 is coming to an end, I want to take this opportunity to wish you all a very joyful and wonderful holiday season and all the best in the new year. God bless!

Shirley’s nieces – MPH Photography – Toronto

Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011

I can’t believe its November already and that Christmas is around the corner, but despite that its still been relatively warm out, not t-shirt weather but no need for hats and mitts just yet, so that’s good. I’ve also been blessed to have all my sessions on days when the weather hasn’t been too cold, and I couldn’t be happier about that.

For example this session with Shirley and her nieces,  it had called for rain but at the last minute they changed the weather report to no rain and warmer than usual weather. We still had to wear coats but we didn’t freeze which was my main concern, especially for the two little girls that this session was essentially for.

Shirley wanted a session with her nieces, and that touches my heart, I think every aunt should do this, and I have 3 nieces myself, and I definitely want to do a session like this with them now as well.

Both girls were so adorably cute and the oldest was a perfect model and you could see that her auntie loves them both. It was such a nice session, and it was lovely meeting them all.

Shirley, I hope you enjoyed yourself with your nieces and I hope you enjoy the sneak peek from our day.

Natalia and her mom – MPH Photography – Toronto

Friday, October 28th, 2011

Lately, I’ve had a couple of mother daughter sessions and I have to say I love doing them. It’s so nice to capture a mother and daughter loving each other and loving life and immortalizing that forever on print. Nothing could be better than a day with mom, and then having the pictures to look back upon years later is a treasure in my books. All I know is that these types of sessions has made me want to do one for me and my mom, and I also think its a great way of telling mom how much you love her, and a small thank you for always being there and loving us unconditionally.

I met up with these two lovely ladies on a very windy morning and yet they didn’t let that stop them, they were determined to have fun and enjoy their surroundings. Natalia moved here a few years ago and her mother Marina came for a visit from Russia, she didn’t speak any english, but we got along wonderfully despite it.

We had such a nice time together and Marina’s expression after seeing a few shots that I took of her daughter Natalia was priceless, you could tell how proud Marina is of her daughter.  I loved capturing their relationship on film, it was fun to watch them talk and just be with each other.

I hope that you enjoy your sneak peek ladies, it was great meeting you both and watching you interact with each other, I had so much fun with you ladies, and Marina I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay here in Toronto and I wish you a safe trip back to Russia and I hope you come back soon.

Ginette & Ginger – MPH Photography – Toronto

Thursday, October 13th, 2011

I had the pleasure of meeting Ginette and Ginger for the first time this past weekend and it was a beautiful day and when we first met in the parking lot,  I felt an instant connection with these two. They are both so cute and so sweet and kind and up for anything. This mother and daughter duo, reminded me of my mom and I, and they had such a great time with each other as I was photographing them and I almost felt like I was a part of their family.

We had such a nice time and it was alot of fun, and with the flowers and the water and the beautiful views, we couldn’t have picked a better spot for the session. We went to Rosetta McClain park in Scarborough and this was my first time doing a session there, but I don’t think it will be my last as its really a stunning place.

They both brought personal props, which I think is fantastic as it adds to the session and personalizes it and makes a session unique and it was quite a fun session, and I didn’t want it to end.

Thanks so much Ginette and Ginger, you both are wonderful and I loved photographing you both and it was a great session, thanks for driving all that way and I hope you enjoy the sneak peek.
