Inspire me baby

Here is another wonderful site dedicated to inspiring photographers and is really such a helpful resource and I’m thrilled to have been featured on it twice. It’s called Inspire me baby!

One of my sunrise maternity images was used for inspirational post about silhouettes, here is that shot…

They also featured another session of mine done last winter, as usually families don’t do sessions outdoors in the winter when they have young children, but it can be done and it can have great results, and I highly recommend doing an outdoor winter session if you love winter and the snow.

Here are a couple of images from that session…

8 days old – Brooklyn – MPH Photography – Toronto

Sunday, October 23rd, 2011

This is my 3rd session with Susan, and although the other ones were fun this one was special since we were taking pictures of their newborn little girl who was all of 8 days old.

As soon as we met baby Brooklyn, we fell in love, she was sooo cute and sweet and adorable and precious and she slept like a little angel. She was a perfect model, slept through most of the session and barely even cried, only once and it was just while mommy changed her diapers. It was a really great session and we even went outdoors since it was such a nice day, it was one of the best newborn sessions we’ve ever done and  I just couldn’t get enough of this sweet lil girl.

I didn’t want to stop photographing her but after 3 hours and tons of shots, it was time to wrap things up and let mom and dad enjoy their little girl.

It was such an honour photographing Brooklyn’s first few days of life, I’m always smitten with the babies I photograph and I feel a special bond with them since I pretty much knew them since the day they were born, lol.

Susan and John, thanks for hiring us to photograph your precious baby girl, and I hope you enjoy the sneak peek.

Newborn session – 9 days old – MPH Photography – Toronto

Monday, April 11th, 2011

I love that newborn smell that baby’s have, its just so sweet and I can’t tell you how much I love being around precious little souls that have just come into this world. I’m so honoured when a family hires me to photograph their little bundle of joy and usually it leaves me wanting another one too, lol.

Baby Raidyn was 9 days old when we did this session and although she didn’t want to sleep in the beginning she eventually gave in and fell into a deep sleep  and let us take tons of cute pics of her. I could have spent all day there and almost did as newborn sessions tend to take 3-4 hrs as there are many breaks for feeding and changing and posing baby. Once Raidyn settled in though, she was the perfect little model and even gave me some sleepy smiles and I almost took her home with me when we were done, lol.

This was a fun session and I always love finding new places to put a newborn, I get all excited when I get to a home and start looking around and find objects and places that I can put baby in, and love how willing my clients are allowing me to put their baby in some of these places but it always makes for the cutest shots.

Tina and Patrick, thank you so much for letting me capture your little one’s first few days of life, it was such a pleasure photographing Raidyn and I hope you enjoy the sneak peeks.

Miss Brandy – Toronto – MPH Photography

Monday, March 14th, 2011

There is officially two more weeks of winter left, and I for one am counting down the days. Spring can’t get here fast enough for me, I’ve had enough of winter and I’m ready for spring, bring on the heat, ok, well not heat yet, but at least not freezing cold temperatures anymore, so woo hoo.

I can’t think of a better way to end the winter than by celebrating with a photo shoot, and Brandy was exactly what I needed. A fresh young face, full of life and just ready to go, and I just wanted to capture her spirit and her beauty on film.

We had alot of fun and Brandi is one brave girl, she even put on shorts and its still pretty darn cold out there, but she stuck it out and we got some awesome shots, so many, that I couldn’t pick just a few of my favourites, and ended up with well alot, lol.

Thank you Miss Brandi, I had a blast with you and hope we can do it again sometime. Next time bring some friends and I’ll put you all in wings and tutu’s,lol!

Here’s tons from this session.

Baby S – MPH Photography – Toronto

Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011

Sugar and spice and everything nice, that’s what little girls are made of, and this little beauty is tons of sugar and a touch of spice. She’s so sweet that you just want to eat her up and yet she has this little spark, a touch of spice if you will. I’ve actually known this little angel’s mom since I was a little girl and I remember her being so cute and adorable and she passed that on to her daughter now.  Her father is the pastor of the greek evangelical church in Toronto and he actually married us in 1999 so this session was very special to me.

Even though we didn’t get as many smiles as I wanted to from this little one, I couldn’t take a bad picture of this beauty, with her cute rosy cheeks, and big bright eyes,  even the ones of her not smiling are adorable as can be. Each outfit we put on her was adorably sweet and I couldn’t stop snapping away, she’s definitely a photogenic child.

Thanks for coming by the studio Ruthann, it was such a thrill to photograph your daughter and to capture these moments when she is still so small. I hope you enjoy the sneak peek.
