Myrtle and her 4 cute and adorable kiddos – MPH Photography – Toronto

Thursday, March 22nd, 2012

I met Myrtle when I was just a teen at the church we were attending back in the day and back then she was the cutest and nicest and sweetest little girl and now she’s still cute and still so nice and sweet and  she has 4 of the cutest and best behaved kids we’ve ever met. I was so excited when she emailed me that she wanted to book a session and I couldn’t say yes quick enough.

We set it up and the only thing that could have been better was the weather, as it was a bit cold and foggy and windy and grey out. Despite the weather, we went ahead and met at a favourite spot of theirs in Pickering and the kids didn’t let the weather faze them at all. They just cared about having fun and going to the beach and checking out the ducks and hopefully getting to ride on the swings for a bit. We did all that and then some and they continued to smile and have a great time during the whole session, even with their little red noses and teary eyes near the end, they still wanted to play some more. I could have taken them all home with me.

You can definitely tell that her kids love her and the bond that they have is strong and so endearing and it was just so much fun to capture them spending time together. I love capturing cherished moments and spontaneous smiles and loving affection between families and I love thinking that these images will be hanging on their walls for years to come, pieces of art that they can enjoy for a lifetime. To think that when they look at these precious images over the years, they will not only smile but remember that day as being special and remembering the feelings they shared and the memories they created as well. To give that to a family is a wonderful feeling and makes me love my job even more.

It was an honour and a pleasure seeing Myrtle again after so many years and photographing her and her kids and I would like to thank them for being so wonderful and cute and sweet and I really hope they all love the sneak peek below.

God bless you and your family Myrtle!!

Logan and Keaton – Brothers – MPH Photography – Toronto

I love these boys as if they were my own, after all I have photographed much if not all of their lives to date and just love that every year in the fall I know that I will be doing a session for these two. Their mother Lori and I met years ago and became fast friends, and since we both have 2 boys, we set up playdates so we could go through the insanity together while drinking a cup of coffee, lol.

Our oldest sons are alot alike and so are our younger ones and its like being with my boys when I’m with them. Lo lo and Ki ki are so affectionate too and I love all the hugs I get from them. They are so cute and loving and sweet, and you just want to pick them up and squeeze them, and I get such a kick out of photographing them every year. I can see the 4 of our boys getting together and going out for a drive when they get older, but for now, we’ll just watch them having fun playing with trucks and dirt and realizing how much our lives are very similar.

Lori has become a great friend over the years and it means the world to me that she keeps coming back every year to get her son’s pics done by me, I’m always touched and honoured.

Every year we go to the same spot, riverdale farm, as the boys love it there and they didn’t sit still much, but we had a fun time chasing them around and trying to make them stop for a shot or two. They are definitely two of the cutest little boys and they never take a bad shot.

Here are just a few from our session, thanks again Lori, love you guys and hope you like your sneak peek.

Shameela’s Family – MPH Photography – Toronto

Wednesday, August 31st, 2011

They were calling for a storm but thankfully it didn’t hit Newmarket where we did this family session. It was a bit grey out and we had a bit of light rain on and off but it was nothing like what hit in Toronto. On the way back we saw floods, tons of trees down and lights out all over the place. Even our oldest (whose 8) called us worried that we were caught in the storm, I assured him we weren’t and then it totally cleared up after that, which was great for us as we had another shoot to do later that day.

Shameela’s family is so sweet, we were welcomed with open arms, and their youngest boy Deen, just gave me the biggest hug with the biggest smile, I didn’t want to let him go, and really all 4 children were so well behaved and so wonderful to photograph.

We had to work quickly though as we could see the dark skies closing in and it did start to rain more towards the end of the session. It worked out well though, and we got to meet this beautiful family and we had a really nice time with them, having fun, blowing bubbles and enjoying their backyard.

It was definitely a pleasure photographing your family Shameela, thank you for allowing us into your beautiful home and photographing your wonderful family,  and thanks for the piece of cake (my weekness) as well,  we hope you enjoy the sneak peek.

Maureen and Ervin and their boys – MPH Photography – Toronto

Wednesday, July 13th, 2011

When Maureen and Ervin first contacted me and set up this family session, they told me their sons, Nicholas 17 and Andrew 14 would also join them in the session and that’s when panic set in. I have photographed every age and both male and female, but never 2 teenage boys together. Now, I have 2 boys of my own, 8 and 5 and so I’m no stranger to boys but I wasn’t sure how I was going to photograph these two youngens. What poses do I put them in that is cool and that they will like, and will they behave, or just not want to be there at all. How was I going to get them to have fun?

I worried for nothing because when I met this family and their boys, I was totally taken by surprised to see two very mature and polite boys. The whole family was nice, and such a pleasure to photograph. They were very well dressed and even though it was boiling hot out, they managed to smile through every shot. We really had a lovely time, and the boys had me laughing more than once and it was a wonderful session.

I realized that my boys have the same age difference and in a few years from now, they will be the ones that are going into highschool and then graduating and when the time comes for my family to get a session done, I hope its jut like that one I did for Maureen and Ervin and their boys.

To the Herold family, thanks again for coming out in the heat and for being so wonderful to work it. We hope you enjoy your sneak peek and hope you also have a wonderful summer.

Lily’s Family – MPH Photography – Toronto

Monday, July 11th, 2011

It’s been one of the hottest weekends on record so far and we happened to have had 3 sessions and although the heat and humidity kicked my you know what, it was a great weekend and we had 3 wonderful sessions with terrific clients.

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of meeting Lily’s family, and we met them at a spot that was special to her, it happens to be special to us as well, as we took our wedding pictures there. The statue of the lion at sunnyside park beaches was the location Lily choose and I couldn’t have been any happier.

Their little guy was a bit shy but he was so adorable and I think we got him to warm up to us a bit and got some cute shots of him and of his little baby brother as well.

Sunnyside has everything, the beach, a boardwalk, trees and bushes and a beautiful bridge and weeping willow trees and rocks, its just a great place for a session or just to take a walk.

We had a lovely time with this family and would love to share a few of my favourites from the session. Thanks Lily, it was so nice to meet you and your family, hope you enjoy the sneak peek.
