Sandra and Kryz’s Engagement session – MPH Photography- Toronto

Friday, March 6th, 2015

I am so excited to photograph Sandra and her fiance Krzys’ wedding in May, I was excited before but but now after their engagement session, I’m even more excited. These two are so cute and fun and adorable together. We had a wonderful time just driving around and stopping at random locations and just photographing them loving each other wether it was in the middle of the road or on a snowy trail. No matter where we went, it was fun and adventurous and an experience that none of us will ever forget.

It was a bit cold, mostly when the wind hit, but it was the mildest day of this winter so far and perfect for a photo shoot. I love that we went to Caledon to do the session as it was so pretty and the whole city is like a winter wonderland, I don’t think there was a spot that wouldn’t look nice in pictures.

Sandra and Krzys, we really enjoyed our time with you and it was great getting to know you even more now and we are definitely thrilled to be photographing your wedding, we are so looking forward to your big day and celebrating with you. I know it will be a spectacular day filled with lots of love and happy people, family and friends celebrating the love that you two share.

Thanks for making this session so much fun to photograph, we hope you like your sneak peek.

Maureen’s family – MPH Photography – Toronto

Wednesday, February 26th, 2014

I love repeat clients and I was so happy to see Maureen and Ervin and their boys Nicholas and Andrew again. It’s been a few years since I’ve photographed them and the boys were tall then but now they are like skyscrapers, lol. This is their sneak peek from 3 years ago http://mphphotography.net/blog/2011/07/maureen-and-ervin-and-their-boys-mph-photography-toronto/

I love this family, they are so sweet and polite and lovely to work with, the boys always make me laugh. I remember our last photo shoot at Edwards gardens and it was a very hot day, well this time Maureen wanted to do a session in the snow and I couldn’t be happier. I think its great when clients want to do something different and they brave the cold and come out with cute coats and mitts and you can bet there will be alot less people to shoot around because it is winter, lol.

We had alot of fun last time, but don’t think it can compare because this time while they were all together posing for a family shot by the stables, a beautiful horse came up and put his head right beside them and even stuck their tongue out for a shot (2nd last shot posted below), its definitely one of my most favourite shots ever now.  I posted it on facebook, and a friend commented saying that the horse must be american, as the Canadian women’s hockey team just won gold in over time against the US, coming back from 2-0, it was the best game I’ve ever seen and made all of us Canadians proud.

The Canadian mitts were the best accessory as well, since the olympics just finished and you can see that this is a proud Canadian family. The red and black made for a wonderful combination and I think they all look so sharp.

It was cold out though, its been a very cold winter, more so than usual and so glad this family braved the cold to capture some great shots of them.

Thanks Herold family for coming back and doing another session with me, can’t believe how much your boys have grown and it was great seeing you all again. Here’s your sneak peek from our time together.

Nicola’s Winter maternity session – MPH Photography – Toronto

Wednesday, February 5th, 2014

This session was so much fun, and I absolutely love it when a client is willing to do anything or go anywhere for that beautiful shot, it always pays off and the client is always happy that I suggested doing something that normally isn’t done.

Of course, when you think about it, why would any pregnant woman who is just about to give birth want to trek out into the cold and snow with hardly any clothes on, well actually, only the last shot is the one where the client is covered in a material and stands there for about 5-10 mins and then quickly changes back into their warm winter clothes, so its not really all that bad. 5-10 mins of being cold will get you a shot like the one you will see below and I think its absolutely stunning and gorgeous and when people see this image in my client’s home they will be talking about it and ooh’ing and aah’ing over it, so it will definitely be worth it.

I met Nicola years ago and she is so sweet and such a lovely person, we liked her immediately and when I heard she was pregnant, I was so excited for her and even more excited when she hired me to do her maternity session and then that she was willing to go out in the snow and do whatever she had to do to get that one amazing shot, made me so very happy.

I will also be photographing their little baby girl once she gets here, and I can’t wait for that session either. For now, here’s Nicola and her hubby Dan as they wait for their baby to arrive.

Thanks Nicola and Dan for allowing us to capture this special time in your lives. We can’t wait to meet your precious little girl when she gets here.  Enjoy your sneak peek.

K & L’s headshots – MPH Photography – Toronto

Wednesday, January 15th, 2014

2 beautiful ladies, both wanting headshots and both willing to going outside in this the worse winter we’ve had in Toronto but in the end, we all had a blast and even though it was really really cold, we managed to find some warm spots and everyone agreed that it was the best idea to go outdoors for this session as nothing beats natural lighting and natural backgrounds.

I know both ladies were quite happy with the experience and the images and it made me happy that they were happy. It’s always a pleasure photographing clients who are excited and eager to do a session and who trust in your ideas and concepts and let you do what you think is best to get great shots.

It wasn’t hard photographing these two beauties and I love how the images turned out.

Thanks ladies, next time, hopefully it will be a little warmer outside, lol.

Great Wolf Lodge – Niagara Falls Ontario

Monday, December 10th, 2012

We told our boys that we were going to take a long drive to see an old friend and with that we got in the car and drove to Niagara falls, and as we got closer to our destination, I kept getting more and more excited. What the boys didn’t know was that we were on our way to Great Wolf Lodge in Niagara falls. As we got closer, I started to explain to them that we had told them a little lie and we weren’t actually going to go see an old friend and at this point I told them to close their eyes and when they opened them they would get a big surprise! When they opened their eyes and realized where we were, they started screaming and squealing and smiling and they couldn’t contain themselves from their joy.  I had begun recording on our video camera, only to realize shortly after that I didn’t actually pressed record, ugh. But I did manage to capture their reaction as we pulled up and parked the car, and you can see it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCYNz_OFToo and a bit more of us walking into the lodge here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlPF7GRjQ7s

To say that we had fun, is an understatement, from the room to the swimming and magi quest and all the fun things they could see and do, the boys had the best time of their lives. They just loved it there and I think if they could live there all year round they would, lol.

The boys loved that they had their own separate section to sleep in called the wolf den, and it had a bunk bed and their own tv and game console,  it was like having a room within the room, and even though they have a bunkbed at home, they loved the one at GWL and were very excited.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the place was awesome, the water park was huge and not only did it have tons of waterslides and multiple pools but it had 3 jacuzzi’s, and 2 of them were just for the adults and one was located outdoors, so even though it was getting cold out and we couldn’t do anything outdoors, we had a lovely jacuzzi to get into and enjoy. They spent hours playing magi quest, and kept going back to play it again and again and to continue their quest as there were many levels to this game.  The food and the entertainment was great, nightly pajama parties with a bedtime story being read to the kids and lots of activities to check out and lots to shop at the store and a great dessert station by the pool and yummy pina colada’s for the parents, lol, and there’s even a kids spa there which we didn’t have time to check out but I’m sure if we go back when Elizabeth is older she’ll want to get her nails done with mommy there, lol.  You can definitely spend alot of money at GWL,lol. I knew to bring snacks with us, but I kept seeing people bringing huge coolers and I figured out by the end of our stay that that was a smart idea, as to try and save a few bucks. It was an expensive trip but the smiles on our boys’ faces was worth it. I know this is a little vacation that they will remember always and so will we. We can’t wait until we go back again.

Here are some pics from our time there.
