Georgina – Headshots – Lifestyle session – MPH Photography – Toronto

Sunday, December 1st, 2013

I wish all my clients could be like Georgina. What a woman!! She’s smart and confident and poised and classy. She knows what she wants and goes and gets it. She’s been all over the world and now spends her time helping and volunteering and just giving of herself.

She wanted some nice shots of herself and I’m just beyond thrilled with the images we captured. It was getting cold out and yet we found a day where the weather wasn’t too bad and we went to the beach and had one of the best sessions I’ve had this year.

She looked great in every shot, and with every outfit change, it just got better. Her confidence shows through the images and you can see that she’s beautiful inside and out as her spirit smiles through these images.

No matter what age you are, I think you should celebrate yourself, get your hair and makeup done and get a new outfit and do a photo shoot to commemorate this time in your life and the beauty that’s inside of you. Its great to have images like this not only for yourself but for your family so they can admire and sit and stare at them and enjoy them as well. Doesn’t every woman deserve this?

If looking at these images makes you want to do a photo shoot then definitely contact me and we’ll set up a session for you too and you too can show off the beautiful person that you are and celebrate yourself. Do it by yourself, or do it with friends, and that way you can all remember how much fun you had and at the end will have beautiful images to take home with you.

Georgina, thanks for being the beautiful person that you are and for being my beautiful subject for the day.

Miss Brandy – Toronto – MPH Photography

Monday, March 14th, 2011

There is officially two more weeks of winter left, and I for one am counting down the days. Spring can’t get here fast enough for me, I’ve had enough of winter and I’m ready for spring, bring on the heat, ok, well not heat yet, but at least not freezing cold temperatures anymore, so woo hoo.

I can’t think of a better way to end the winter than by celebrating with a photo shoot, and Brandy was exactly what I needed. A fresh young face, full of life and just ready to go, and I just wanted to capture her spirit and her beauty on film.

We had alot of fun and Brandi is one brave girl, she even put on shorts and its still pretty darn cold out there, but she stuck it out and we got some awesome shots, so many, that I couldn’t pick just a few of my favourites, and ended up with well alot, lol.

Thank you Miss Brandi, I had a blast with you and hope we can do it again sometime. Next time bring some friends and I’ll put you all in wings and tutu’s,lol!

Here’s tons from this session.

One on One – MPH photography – Toronto

I love it when I get to teach someone all I know about photography but honestly a day isn’t enough time, lol.

Nicola and I met a couple of years ago when I had the pleasure of photographing her and she was so cute and sweet and I was so happy when she contacted me and asked about doing a one on one with me. She came over this past Sunday and was here from about 10:30-6pm or so and it was a jam packed day. We went over the basics and then went to practice a bit and then talked about so many things and I’m sure Nicola’s mind was overwhelmed by the end of the day but she did great and loved the shots she took of our model Grace.

I had invited a previous client to be our model for a little session so that I could teach Nicola just what I do during each session and how to find good lighting and showed her how to pose and what settings to use and she’s definitely a quick learner and I tried to make it alot of fun as well.

I’m more about hands on teaching, reading is good, but showing someone is better I find, so it was all about hands on experience and I think that you learn more when you are shown what to do.

Below are a few shots of Grace and I can’t thank her enough for coming out and posing for us, its always so much fun photographing her.

Nicola, my little protege, it was a joy teaching you and helping you to set forth and achieve your goals, remember to keep practicing and I know you will get to where you want to go. I wish you all the best as you start off on your photography journey, I hope to be able to say, “I knew her when…”

For ONE of ONE info where I spend the day teaching you all I know, please email me at

Can you believe this girl is ONLY 15!!!

Mother & Daughter – MPH Photography – Toronto

Word of mouth is the back bone to my business. I photograph someone and they tell a friend and then that friend tells a friend and so on and so on. So when Mireille contacted me to do a photoshoot for her and her daughter because her daughter had seen her friends pics that I shot, I was thrilled.

We met up on a beautiful day and had a very nice session at the guild and since it was their first time there, there was much to see. It’s a great place just to go and take walks, and my family and I does that every so often and I feel at home when I do a session there as I know it so well. I try to shoot in different locations as much as possible but sometimes its nice to go somewhere that you are very familiar with. I could do tons of sessions there and get different shots each time, its great.

Mireille and Keisha were so adorable, loving mother and her little girl (ok, not so little), it was so sweet to capture them together. I know as a mom I’m usually behind the camera taking the pics and not often in front, but its so important to get in front of the camera, wether you are shy or for whatever reason, its important that our kids look back and see us in pics too. Yet another reason to do a session like this.

During our session I learned that Mireille is a french teacher and not only that she teaches at my son’s school, she teaches the older grades so they haven’t had the pleasure of having her teach them but my oldest got so excited to see that I had photographed a teacher from his school. I can tell that Mireille loves to teach and I’m looking forward to having her teach my boys french.

Merci beaucoup Mireille, it was a joy to photograph you and your daughter and I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

Amazing Grace – MPH Photography – Toronto

I just love sessions like these, old friends and returning clients, add beautiful weather and beautiful location and not to mention a beautiful model too, what more could a photographer ask for?

I’ve known Grace for a few years now and have watched her grow into a beautiful young lady. She even attends my old high school St. Joseph’s College and lives just a block or so away from me.

We always have fun with Grace and her mom, you will usually find us laughing during our sessions and then you’ll find us crying too as once I see her mom Bonnie start then I start as well, it makes me so happy and I feel so blessed when a mom cries at a session cuz I know I’m capturing her little girl (or not so little girl) and freezing this moment for her forever. It’s a joy and an honour to do that for someone.

Grace brought along her converse shoes again(or rather new ones) and we had fun using them in a few shots. I always encourage clients to bring something that is personal as to reflect their personality in the images I take, it can be ballet shoes, an instrument, a football or a leather jacket or a book, it can be just about anything you want that will personalize your session.

What can I say about Grace, other than I know she’s a wonderful girl, and such a pretty girl who is so sweet, inside and out. I know she’s loved by many and as we watch her grow up our hearts fill with pride as she has touched so many lives and I doubt she even knows it.

You are amazing Grace, and I’m honoured that you came to me again to photograph you, I love watching you grow through my lens and I look forward to one day dancing at your wedding and then I’ll be bawling with your mom on the sidelines, lol. Thank you Bonnie for raising such a precious and wonderful girl, I know how proud you are of her and it was definitely a joy hanging out with you two and capturing your not so little girl on film again.

Enjoy your sneak peek! 🙂

Hubby’s shot, and let me just say that my man is not only the best daddy and husband, he also ROCKS as an assistant and I don’t know how I went and shot sessions without him for so long, but I’m happy to have him as my wing man now, lol. Love ya honey!

Grace has offered to babysit for our kids many times, and fortunately for us I have my mom who always watches the kids for us during our shoots but one of these days hubby and I got to have a date night and I think we’ll be calling Ms. Grace to come and watch them for us then.
