Headshot session

Friday, September 27th, 2013

I have so much to catch up on. It’s been so busy and I just haven’t had the time I usually do to post about our sessions.

I know this year will be another busy one and I will try to keep up as best as I can.

For now, I wanted to share some images from a headshot we did with a super lovely lady named Christina. We went to her beautiful home and decided to do the session in her big backyard with her beautiful pool. We were all so tempted to jump in it at the end of the session.

Thanks for having us over Christina and for being so easy to work with, hope you enjoyed your experience with us as well as the lovely images we captured of you.

Karla and Danny’s family beach session – MPH Photography – Toronto

Wednesday, August 28th, 2013

Last time I met Karla and Danny and Mateo, they didn’t have a little girl in their family, and neither did mine, and now we both have precious daughters, so I was excited when they contacted me and wanted me to photograph them as a family of 4 now.

We took them somewhere they have never been before in Toronto, the Bluffs, and I think they fell in love with this location and have a feeling they will be going there again. It wasn’t as busy as usual but we decided to wander in a bit and find some spots to get started. Isabella had just finished napping and I don’t think she was in the happiest of moods for our session but Mateo had fun from the beginning and he helped as much as he could to make his baby sister laugh.

We tried a few different spots and then ended up on the beach and although the water was cold, Mateo had no problem putting his feet in their and splashing around a little bit. Isabella took a little bit of time to enjoy the sand but by the end I think she liked the new sensation of sand between her little toes.

Karla and Danny it was great seeing you all and meeting you new baby girl, and we loved hanging out with you and capturing your family. We hope you had fun and we look forward to seeing you all again soon. Enjoy the sneak peek.

Lourdes’ Family beach session – MPH Photography – Toronto

Tuesday, August 27th, 2013

I don’t think I’ve postponed a session as many as this one but for one reason or another it wasn’t quite working out but I knew that when the day finally came that we would meet up that it was going to be awesome and I was right.

I was so excited to meet Lourdes and her daughters and hubby, they were excited and ready to start and we jumped right on in. The girls acted as if they were seasoned models already and took direction so well and I just loved photographing them. We had tons of fun and we laughed together and talked and played and just had a wonderful time during our session.

We had perfect weather by the beach and I loved the colour that this family chose to wear, its one of my favourite colours lately and I knew it was going to look great in the images. The best part was the love that these two sisters share, it touched me so and they just wanted to spend every second together and Olivia and Alexandra are going to grow up being the best of friends I can tell.

Lourdes and Richard, it was wonderful meeting you all and thanks so much for being so enthusiastic and adorably sweet and beautiful. We really enjoyed photographing you all and are looking forward to doing it again in the near future. Enjoy your sneak peek.

Mehran – MPH Photography – Toronto

Let me tell you about this beautiful woman that I know, not only is she kind and loving and smart and soft spoken and sweet, she also helped me give birth to two of my beautiful babies.

She’s my midwife, and I love her, and was so happy to have a woman who I could ask questions and advice from and tell all my fears too and help me through ups and downs of my pregnancy. She helped me carry these precious souls and bring them into this world, and I don’t have the words to express my gratitude to her as well as the other wonderful midwives that helped, especially Sarilyn. After we had George and I had an OB for that, I just wasn’t happy with the service that I got, so when I became pregnant with our second child Nik, I did some research and found that there was a midwife clinic just a few blocks away. I called and made an appointment. They paired me up with Mehran and I clicked with her right away, we could sit there and talk for hours if she didn’t have other clients to take care of as well, lol.

The midwives clinic of East York is such a huge blessing for women in the area, they take such great care of their clients and you feel like you are part of a family there, and the clinic and the midwives there will always have a special place in my heart and they will have my eternal gratitude.

If you live in the East york –  Don mills and Leaside area and are pregnant then I definitely encourage you to call the clinic and set up the appointment, you can choose to have your baby at the hospital or at home, I did both, not really through any choice of my own though (2nd baby decided to come while I was at home and I didn’t make it to the hospital), but they are experienced and well trained and calm and collected and know what they are doing, even in an emergency. Other than my husband, I’m so glad to have had them there and can look back on this part of our lives with fondness and joy and admiration for such a lovely group of woman. To show some of my appreciation I gave them a few images of my work to put up on their walls, and so don’t be surprised if you see some of my images hanging on the walls in their clinic.

Thanks so much for all your help Mehran, and Sarilyn and all the ladies at The midwives clinic of East york, you are such a great group of hard working and dedicated woman and can’t thank you all enough for everything you do.

Little Leo – Newborn session – MPH Photography – Toronto

Wednesday, June 26th, 2013

This was our 3rd session with Samara and her family and every time we do a session, it keeps getting better and better. Didn’t think we could top her maternity, that was a wonderful session but anything could then I think these precious pictures of her beautiful children, Stella and Leo would.

Newborn sessions usually tend to last 3-4 hours, or longer as we often have to wait for baby to fall back asleep and little Leo took a little time but he finally went down and let us take some beautiful shots of him and the whole family.

Big sister Stella was so helpful and such a darling little girl, her and her brother were so sweet, and I can see that Leo loves his big sister already and Stella is crazy about Leo.

We had such a lovely time with Samara and Ari and Stella and little Leo and it was wonderful to do another session with them, plus they booked a  package so we get to photograph them again in the near future, can’t wait to see how these little ones have grown and the relationship they are now just building.

Thanks Samara and Ari for allowing us into your home and for trusting us again this time with your precious little babies, it will be a session we will remember and not only because of the little gift he gave us during the session 😉 but also because you are such a wonderful and loving family and it was a pleasure photographing all of you again. Enjoy your sneak peek.
