The Friendly Photographer

Friday, January 13th, 2012

Just want to wish everyone a Happy new year. This year will be a little different for MPH Photography since we are having a baby girl in the beginning of May and I’m cutting down my sessions and only going to do a few every month, so for anyone who wants a session done this year, now is the time to contact me before all the spots are filled up.

In the meantime, I will be posting more about my family and my goal is to spend as much time as I can with them in 2012.

I have been meaning to post about a site that I love and have been featured on. The site was created by Emily Krbec, a fellow photographer friend of mine whose goal it is to celebrate and showcase fellow local photographers, she believes that us photographers should learn from each other and share our work, rather than be worried about who our competition is and I think she’s right. It would only make us stronger if we band together and join forces and share our work and our ideas and concepts and how we run our businesses and then we can all grow together and take photography to another level.

Here is a session I did with  Heather that was featured on their site:

and here is an image from that session as well. If you wish to check out the original post I made for my blog  just click here http://mphphotography.net/blog/2011/05/heather-mph-photography-toronto/

I’m also honoured that one of my images is featured on their front page on the slideshow.

Shirley’s nieces – MPH Photography – Toronto

Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011

I can’t believe its November already and that Christmas is around the corner, but despite that its still been relatively warm out, not t-shirt weather but no need for hats and mitts just yet, so that’s good. I’ve also been blessed to have all my sessions on days when the weather hasn’t been too cold, and I couldn’t be happier about that.

For example this session with Shirley and her nieces,  it had called for rain but at the last minute they changed the weather report to no rain and warmer than usual weather. We still had to wear coats but we didn’t freeze which was my main concern, especially for the two little girls that this session was essentially for.

Shirley wanted a session with her nieces, and that touches my heart, I think every aunt should do this, and I have 3 nieces myself, and I definitely want to do a session like this with them now as well.

Both girls were so adorably cute and the oldest was a perfect model and you could see that her auntie loves them both. It was such a nice session, and it was lovely meeting them all.

Shirley, I hope you enjoyed yourself with your nieces and I hope you enjoy the sneak peek from our day.

Tania’s Family – MPH Photography – Toronto

Wednesday, November 9th, 2011

High park is one crazy place to get into when the weather is nice, but it was worth waiting for a parking spot and even with all the traffic we managed to find spots where we could take pictures and not have a million people plus a few hundred photographers in the background.

Tania and Craig and Julian are the cutest little family and even though Julian was a bit shy at first, we got him laughing and playing in no time, he even took a little tumble running down the hill, but other than a small scratch on his lip, he was ok, and bubbles helped make him feel better.

Besides being beautiful, Tania has a beautiful little bump, but she’s so tiny that I had to tell her to stick out her tummy as far as she could at times just to see that little belly a bit more, but she was radiant and happy and I know this little girl on the way will bless this family and I can tell that Julian will be a great big brother.

We really had a wonderful time, good weather and for November its actually great weather, as you never know when the first snow will hit. It was a lovely session, and I really enjoyed photographing this adorable family.

Thanks Tania and Craig and Julian for being so easy to work with, and so adorable too. Hope you enjoyed your time with us and I hope you enjoy your sneak peek from our day together.

Family beach session – MPH Photography – Toronto

Thursday, November 3rd, 2011

I love doing sessions at the beach, and we are pretty blessed to have a few of them here in Toronto so for this session we chose Woodbine beach and it was a beautiful day, sun was out, and even though it was a bit cold when you reached the water, it was still nice for an October day.

I met this lovely family for our session and right away little C warmed up to me and we quickly became friends. As I photographed him playing, we started talking and laughing and just having alot of fun together. I love kids, and often feel like I’m still a kid myself so I can relate to them and love watching them explore and learn about things, their amazement and their expressions are often priceless.

We got mom and dad in the pics as well and we took a walk along the beach and played in the park and had a real nice time having fun and in the midst of that we had a great photo session as well. This family did so well that time flew by and before we knew it the session was over as we have captured so many fun and memorable shots.

Thanks guys for coming out and having me photograph your family, it was such a joy, I love your little boy, he’s so cute and full of life,  and both Chris and I wish you all the best.  Enjoy your sneak peek from our session.

Natalia and her mom – MPH Photography – Toronto

Friday, October 28th, 2011

Lately, I’ve had a couple of mother daughter sessions and I have to say I love doing them. It’s so nice to capture a mother and daughter loving each other and loving life and immortalizing that forever on print. Nothing could be better than a day with mom, and then having the pictures to look back upon years later is a treasure in my books. All I know is that these types of sessions has made me want to do one for me and my mom, and I also think its a great way of telling mom how much you love her, and a small thank you for always being there and loving us unconditionally.

I met up with these two lovely ladies on a very windy morning and yet they didn’t let that stop them, they were determined to have fun and enjoy their surroundings. Natalia moved here a few years ago and her mother Marina came for a visit from Russia, she didn’t speak any english, but we got along wonderfully despite it.

We had such a nice time together and Marina’s expression after seeing a few shots that I took of her daughter Natalia was priceless, you could tell how proud Marina is of her daughter.  I loved capturing their relationship on film, it was fun to watch them talk and just be with each other.

I hope that you enjoy your sneak peek ladies, it was great meeting you both and watching you interact with each other, I had so much fun with you ladies, and Marina I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay here in Toronto and I wish you a safe trip back to Russia and I hope you come back soon.
