Laura’s Family – MPH Photography – Toronto

Monday, August 26th, 2013

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Laura’s family before when Ashlynn was just a baby and now to see these beautiful two little sisters growing up and loving each other and just so adorably sweet is the kind of session that I love doing. Sunset at the beach, with beautiful weather and not too many people made it even more perfect.

We had a wonderful time watching the girls play and walk around and throw rocks in the water and just enjoying a summer evening. I know this family made many memories together during our time and I had the hard job of photographing their time together, have I told you that I love my job, lol.

Laura and Sam, thanks again for asking us to photograph your beautiful family, I think this time was even more fun than last time, and I hope you like the sneak peek from our time together.  Can’t wait to photograph your beautiful girls and all of you again.

Sunrise maternity session at the beach – Toronto – MPH Photography

Tuesday, June 11th, 2013

Had a lovely time with Charlotte photographing her little belly this past weekend, had to keep telling her to stick it out because you couldn’t see it that much, lol.  It was a nice day although the sun did not show up for us again (although I did add some sun to the first image), but we still had fun and I’m loving the images that we got from our time together. Then her cute and adorable little boy came with papa and her little boy stole my heart. That smile and those big brown eyes and any lady would just die for those eyelashes. He wore this cute little bow tie and I couldn’t stop gushing over him, wanted to take him home after the session, lol. He was a little bit shy but full of smiles and just the cutest little thing. He is going to be one sweet and wonderful big brother to this little boy on the way.

Getting up at 4:30am to do a session like this is well worth it, as no one is at the beach at this time and we have the place all to ourselves and usually by the time we finish, the beach is packed, so although I hate getting up so early, its definitely the best time to do a session if you don’t want anyone else around.

Charlotte rocked it, she wore heels and looked stunning. I could have spent several more hours photographing her but she had a yoga class to go teach and we decided to wrap things up and I couldn’t wait to get home and start editing her images. It was hard to choose the ones I liked best though, as they were so many good shots and I hope she likes the ones I chose to edit.

Charlotte and Seth and Isaiah, thanks so much for coming out so early, it was so nice meeting you all and we hope you enjoyed your time with us and we also hope you love your sneak peek.

Danielle’s sunrise beach maternity session

Tuesday, May 14th, 2013

I have photographed Danielle several times, with her niece and then her wedding and now her pregnancy, and I couldn’t be happier for this couple. They opted not to find out what they are having, and I am in awe of that, to wait 9 months to find out is just amazing, I know I couldn’t do it, and didn’t 3 times, lol. I needed to know as soon as I could and for my 2nd I even went as far as to send in my blood to a lab to find out what I was having before my 18 week ultrasound, can you tell I’m not a very patient person, lol. Only a couple more weeks til Danielle and Dave’s baby lets us know what they are, and I can’t wait. I get to photograph this precious little soul and I’m  bursting with anticipation just waiting for this little one to arrive.

While we wait for this baby to be born, Danielle asked me to do a maternity session with her, and I couldn’t help but be thrilled. I knew she was up for anything, so of course I suggested a sunrise session, and she was up for it from the beginning.

Unfortunately when the day came, it was not only cold but the sun did’t really show up for us like it was suppose too, lol. We got a few shots with the sun but it was mostly a very cloudy day. Despite that, I think we got some gorgeous shots and I am so excited to post her sneak peek. Danielle is radiant and she is one of those woman that were made to be a mommy, she is such an amazing aunt and I know this child will be so blessed to have her and Dave as their parents. The love that these two share is so sweet, Dave even came with Danielle to the session that started at 5:30am, now that’s love. This baby is going to love their parents, and vice versa.

I have so many faves from this session and it was so hard to choose which to edit, but I finally decided on these, and just know there were so many more.

Thanks guys, it was such a pleasure photographing you both during this special time. I can’t wait to meet your little one Danielle, I will try my hardest not to cry from my joy when I come to do the newborn session with you and Dave and your new baby. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and we wish you guys all the happiness and joy in the world as you welcome this little one into your lives.  We love you guys.

BTW, my guess is that they are having a boy, what do you think?

Samara’s Sunrise beach maternity session

Tuesday, May 7th, 2013

I can’t tell you how much I love doing sessions like these, they don’t happen often, especially because you can pretty much only do this in the summer while its hot out, so you have to be due sometime between June-September. So when I get the opportunity to do a session like this, I jump on it. There is nothing that compares to a sunrise maternity session at the beach. The lighting and the silhouettes are amazing at this time of day. It’s definitely worth getting up at 4:30am to get there for 5:45 to catch the sunrise.

It’s even more exciting when I’m shooting a return client, and I had such a lovely time photographing this adorable family a few years back, that it made me giddy when she emailed me and told me she was having another baby and then we talked and she loved the idea of doing a sunrise session.

It’s been cold though, and spring has come late this year so I was a bit worried about the weather, but even though it was a bit cold it was still a beautiful day. We would have spent more time at the beach if it wasn’t so windy and I would have taken more shots of Miss Stella but the poor little thing was shivering from the cold, she even had to wear her mommy’s jacket (as you will see in the last image below), as she was just not warm enough with just hers, so we worked as quickly as possible and she was such a sweet little thing, smiling for me even though she was cold. All of them were perfect models and we had such a wonderful time photographing them again.

We captured some beautiful moments and I couldn’t wait to post a sneak peek from this session. There is so much love in this family, and I know this little boy that’s on the way, will be so very loved, and his big sister can’t wait to meet him. Samara is due in June and I wish them all the best as they welcome their newest addition to their sweet family.

Thanks so much Samara for getting up so early and being so brave and working through the cold, I hope you enjoyed your time with us and that you love these images as much as we do. We want to thank Ari and Miss Stella for coming out later on that morning as well and for being so awesome to work with, we really enjoyed photographing you all again.

Beth’s Family

Thursday, October 11th, 2012

For the last few years,  Beth has been emailing me to let me know that they will be flying in from New Jersey and would like to set up a session, and I couldn’t be more thrilled as I love this family. We always have a great time and we laugh and talk and catch up as we photograph this beautiful family.

I still wish they lived here as I know my boys would get along great with these two sweet girls and although they live far now, I feel like we have become friends and its always such a pleasure to see them every year.

When we discuss where to go for our session, I know that they want something unique, something that shows Toronto, and what a better place to go than Centre Island, from there you can see the city skyline as well as the beautiful landscape that the island has to offer.

It was a beautiful scene, leaves falling, colours of the trees were changing and it was so lovely. It was a bit cold and the clouds moved in very quickly this time but we managed to take some great shots of this family, and I would have stayed there all day long with them if I could have.

I miss them already and can’t thank Beth and her family enough, as its really a pleasure seeing them and photographing them every year, I’m honoured that they keep coming back to us and I can’t wait until we do it again next year.

Enjoy your sneak peek Beth, and just know that I and all of  Toronto misses you, lol.
