Lori’s little boys – MPH Photography – Toronto

Tuesday, October 12th, 2010

Every year around this time, a good friend and client calls me to arrange a session in the fall for her and her boys. Sometimes its just the boys and sometimes its the whole family and its always at riverdale farm, one of their favourite spots in T.O. We were blessed with good weather this time, a bit cold but not bad for October in Toronto, and although the boys started off with red little noses, it did warm up after a bit thankfully.

I love these two little boys, and am great friends with their mother and I had so much fun, they were constantly on the go and I couldn’t snap the pictures fast enough, I’m constantly amazed by how much energy two little boys can have, but I shouldn’t be because mine are the exact same way, lol.

These two brothers are so lovable and sweet and I got many hugs and even a kiss or two from them and when Keaton took my hand and wanted to walk with me, my heart melted and I could have taken both those little boys home with me,lol. Logan has been my little model since he was a baby so he knows how to pose for me and Keaton just wants to explore all that surrounds him, and those blue eyes are just amazing to look at.  I could have played and photographed them both all day long.

Lori, your family is adorable, and you know how much I love photographing you all, I had a wonderful time and thanks for all your constant support and friendship throughout the years. Hope you enjoy the sneak peek from our day at the farm.

Ama and her furry friend Icey

Monday, October 11th, 2010

It’s been the perfect weekend weather wise and I’m so glad that all 4 sessions I had this weekend had beautiful weather, couldn’t be more thankful. This is the first of 4 sneak peeks and hope to get the rest out soon.

I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and although it was a very busy weekend for us and I’m totally exhausted,  I have much to be grateful for and I couldn’t be happier with how well all my sessions turned out.

First one was on Friday with Ama and her adorable little dog Icey, whose 5th  birthday is coming up soon so this session was all about her and we had fun chasing her around. She’s beautiful too and many years ago we had a german spitz that was just like Icey, all white and full of energy just like Icey and this session brought back alot of great memories for me.

We took a walk along the beach and it was Icey’s first time there so  she was just bursting with excitement and wanting to explore her new surroundings.  We chatted about Ama’s big trip coming up and these pictures will keep her company as she won’t be able to take Icey with her at this time.

I had a great time with you and Icey, Ama. Thanks for a wonderful session and I hope you have a wonderful trip back home. Enjoy your sneak peek.

Adam’s greek orthodox baptism – MPH Photography – Toronto

Wednesday, October 6th, 2010

When my good friend Mona’s sister in law called me to ask me to photograph her son’s baptism, I couldn’t have been more thrilled. Then when they called back to confirm booking me she left the sweetest message concluding with “we want you, we need you, we have to have you!”, that message made my day.

Although it was a rainy and dark day, it didn’t matter, as you could feel the love and the warmth surrounding this little boy. From the ceremony to the reception, all you could see was smiling faces and joyful expressions as we all celebrated this special day.

The ceremony was held at St. Demetrios greek orthodox church in Toronto and the reception was held at Ellas Banquet hall, and I’ve had the pleasure of going to this hall many times and each time I’m totally impressed with the food and the service, and add a great dj like “leave it to us” and it makes for one great night. There was lots of eating and dancing and celebrating going on,lol.

Andrea and Louis are two of the sweetest people and the love between them and their kids, Selina, Theo and Adam was so adorable, hugs and kisses all night, dancing and laughing together, it was such an emotional event,  and even Louis teared up when he was thanking everyone for coming, it was such a touching moment, and brought tears to my eyes and probably to everyone else’s there as well.

Andrea and Louis, it was a pleasure photographing such a special occasion in your lives and I thank you for trusting me to do the job, we had a wonderful evening and really felt like part of the family and we met many wonderful people there, thanks for hiring us to cover your wonderful event. We wish you and  your family all the best and I hope you like the sneak peek.

Love this last shot of the two proud and happy parents dancing together, sigh!

Miranda’s Family – MPH Photography – Toronto

Tuesday, October 5th, 2010

I’ve known Miranda for a few years now and we even attend the same church and I know everytime I do a session with her, that its going to be fun.

Her two young cute boys are always full of energy and it can be a challenge to get them to sit still for a minute but when they do, we manage to get one awesome pic. We got several good ones of them this time, I think they were on their best behaviour as their grandma and grandpa were in this session as well.

We chose to go to Allan gardens downtown and thankfully we did as a few minutes after our session began it started to rain, so we had a beautiful indoor location which came in handy.

Miranda is a sweetheart and is constantly doing so much for others, wether at church or in her community, you can always count on her if you need some help. She’s also a great cook, and besides her yummy cookies that I love, I’m looking forward to the apple pie that she willing offered to give to anyone who wanted one, so you know I jumped on that, lol.

We had a wonderful session and below are a few sneak peeks from our day, hope you enjoy them Miranda.
