It was such an awesome weekend. On Saturday I got together with an awesome photographer friend Bonnie, from Bonseye Photography and she came with me to see another friend (Enza) whom I haven’t seen in 20 years, since highschool.
I was swept up in memories as i was approaching her cafe, and yet we talked and I realized how much I had forgotten, as time goes, you forget the little details that we once used to pay more attention too. We sat and conversed over a coke and enjoyed hanging out with each other after all these years. Then we had even more fun by doing a little shoot. We had some great locations to work with and despite the rain we had a fabulous time. Then another old highschool friend (Laura)came and joined us as well, we talked, and laughed and had a wonderful time. We were covered in Awesome sauce as Enza likes to say. I have lots of images that I like but here are just a few.

One with her sister Julia.

and one of the 3 of us girls from highschool.

I am sooo excited, and feel like such a kid, but to me its the cake that makes the party. Maybe its an artist thing but I love ordering cakes with pizzazz and spunk and character, wether it be blue clues or a pirate ship, they are pieces of art, to be admired and then sadly eaten, lol. I seriously almost get sad when its time to cut the cake.
As my son’s 3rd birthday approaches on Sunday, we are throwing a small party for him but we went nuts on the cake, lol.
So, I just ordered a little einstein cake from this wonderful lady named Claudia from Cakerific, check her out her cakes are spectacular as you can see for yourself, http://www.cakerific.blogspot.com/ and I so can’t wait to see the finished creation. I bet it will be fabulous.
And i can’t write a post without a cake, I mean without a pic of a cake, lol, so here is one of my favourite cakes from George’s 6th birthday made by Tina Medeiros from Cakes by Design.

When on a hike with my hubby and boys, and yes I’m out of shape, my legs were killing me after and I think I developed heel spurs, ugh. Still, it was worth it, to get this one shot of my oldest George and a cute one of Nik too. It’s my new location, and I plan on taking a few clients to this spot in the future.

As I edit more from this session, I can’t help but share them, and can’t seem to wait until I’ve edited them all and then pick a few to post, so you may see many more posts with images of this family, lol. I just adore them.
