I had the pleaure of shooting a beautiful family today, and although it was really rainy and it was a long way away and our car was malfunctioning on the way, it was a great day. I met the sweetest family, the father Mansur is a co worker of my husband and we had a small window of opportunity to shoot his family as grandma was visitng. His lovely wife Zahra and their beautiful children were candy for my camera.

The weather cleared up and we made it home safely and have a few sneek peaks that I would like to share from our session. More to come.

Although I have all of these in colour and will show the family both colour and bw of these shots, I personally love bw.

I’m so happy and thrilled that I got to work with Oh Baby magazine. It’s a local resourceful magazine for parents and is often filled with useful tips, great articles and a whole bunch of good stuff.  An image of mine was used for a clothing company’s ad and I also have an ad in the magazine as well.

It was a pleasure working with Nick and Sandy who both publish and edit the magazine, and I look forward to working with them again in the near future.

It’s OFFICIAL…  you can now find us @ www.mphphotography.com as well as www.mphphotography.net, woo hoo, I’m so excited about this as a couple of years ago .com was taken and I was so  upset.  So I’m thanking God for that plus all the other awesome things going on.

The next few weeks look like they’ll be pretty busy, among other things, I have an upcoming wedding to shoot in Niagara falls on the 3rd and I can’t tell you how excited I am to shoot this bride and groom, its definitely going to be a day to remember.

Wanted to share my new postcards, they  arrived last week, and I love them, they look so purty, don’t you think??

Had a fun shoot today with a cute and adorable lil boy named Sean. His mommy Sue and his grandma came and we had a funny time trying to make him laugh, but we think he may have been teething because he was not a totally happy camper, and yet we managed to get him to smile a few times at least. No matter what though, this lil one is a cutie and it was a pleasure shooting him, and want to wish him a very happy 1st Birthday coming up on April 2nd.

So, today has been a good day, other than a little headache a sore eye. It’s sore because my son poked me a few days ago and I thought I would pass out from the pain. You would have thought someone stabbed me in the eye with a sharp edged knife dipped in rubbing alcohol, get the idea?? Seriously though, I couldn’t even open it and forced myself to bed as I was not able to do anything else.  I had to eat a snack with my eyes closed before heading off to bed, that must have looked so funny to my dh. I’m better today thankfully, its still a bit bothersome, kinda a bit blurry but no more pain, so i’m not complaining, just praying that it heals completely soon.

Then my sweet hubby picked up a large book shelf and painted it all nice dark chocolate, almost an eggplant colour and he says he’s going to put spools on it and make it a working shelf for me. i just received a box full of black bags for my packaging and had no where to put them and the tissue and ribbons and boxes and gifts that I have for my clients, and now I have a spot!! Woo hoo, thank you Hubby, love you baby!

While my hubby did that lil project for me I found an image from last year that I love that I never edited, so I did and I LOVE it, I think it will become my next canvas. So here it is..

Beach Beauties

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. I have a 1 yr old birthday boy to shoot on Monday, and i’m really looking forward to that, mom and I had a great conversation on the phone and I can’t wait to meet them.

I LOVE canvases, nothing is better than bigger, and the more canvases I buy the more i want and the bigger I want. One of these days I’ll get a really big one, came close to it the other day but I only ended up getting these two at 16×20 and 11×14. The pictures below just don’t do them justice and to see them in person as to be able to appreciate the colour and the texture and the majestical feel and look to them, then you would see why I love them so. If you aren’t convinced then you are more than welcome to come over and see for yourself.

The colours on this one are just spectacular.

Finally a beautiful day in Toronto, I couldn’t wait to get out there and shoot and met up with the perfect couple, cute and funny, usually I make my clients laugh, but these two had me laughing instead,lol. Helen was my contest winner and we had our session downtown in and around union station. We had fun and even sat and enjoyed a drink together and a hot dog too,lol. Here are a few sneak peeks.
