So on Oct. 4, I was fortunate enough to go on an impromptu trip to Jamaica with my best friend Stella. This was our 2nd trip together, we’ve been to St. Martin and we’ve had so much fun together that we want to try to make this an annual get away. While in Jamaica I had the chance to shoot 3 weddings and I also brought a wedding dress for Stella to wear and trash, so on Friday Oct. 10 we got up at 5am (a bit too early I think) and proceeded to head out. We had so much fun, and i got some really wonderful images of Stella, can’t wait to show more, but here are a few from the weddings and the trash the dress session. I also did a shoot with a couple that i met that were on the same plane with us and we did a wonderful sunset session together as well. I was too busy to relax, and think I need a vacation from my vacation.
We stayed at the Riu Negril. Pretty big resort, and it had a lot of great places to take pics of and use as a background too. The hotel was nice and had some small issues, like the furniture was a bit old, but the rooms were a good size although they were all situated quite a way from the main building and the pool, but we were too busy having fun to notice anything bad or complain. The food was good and the beach was beautiful. The pool was nice as well but we hardly went in it as we preferred the beach. We spent a lot of time outside the hotel and doing excursions and travelling around, so we didn’t do much in the hotel other than eat and sleep and sit on the beach. We had a lot of fun and I would definitely recommend Negril over Montego, the beach is so much nicer and the most beautiful colour blue.
While in Jamaica, we went up Dunn’s river falls (my 2nd time up, went up it 15 yrs ago with my hubby) and we checked out Rick’s cafe as well, awesome divers and great place for sunsets. While in Jamaica, you need to go to seven mile beach, pristine beautiful warm waters and you need to go to Margaritaville, they not only take great care of you and bring you lounge chairs to lay on or aloe to cool off with but they have great food and drinks there as well. We were so well taken care of while there that we went back almost everyday.
Lastly, Jamaica has great jewelry too, diamonds and other gems, so make sure you bring your credit card with you, lol.
Onto the pics, yes, there’s alot of them, lol.
